First clean your bullets (soak) in paint thinner, lacquer thinner or a product of your choice to remove all grease and residue. If the bullets are not absolutely clean you will get spotty adhesion or no adhesion at all. After soaking, pour liquid back into container to save. Empty bullets onto an old towel or rag and dry thoroughly without touching with your hands.
I use a small aspirin bottle, a vitamin bottle or other plastic bottle is suitable. Spoon 50-100 bullets (depending on bottle size) into the bottle so there is adequate room to tumble. Add 1/8 tsp or less moly into the bottle. Add a small package of regular BBs and secure the lid.
Place the bottle in your tumbler media and let it run for an hour or so. Remove the lid carefully or you will wind up with moly everywhere. I spoon the contents out carefully seperating the bullets into a pile and the BBs into another pile on paper towels. Any excess moly can be placed back into the bottle with the BBs. Put the lid back on and ready for the next time.
Take a couple old heavy cotton socks and label as 1,2,3. Pour the bullets into sock 1, and holding the end closed, lift one end then the other to buff the bullets. After a minute, pour into sock 2 and repeat. The 3rd sock is optional but really gets rid of any excess. Pour the bullets into a container and you are ready to go. After awhile sock 1 becomes really filthy and gets thrown away. Sock 2 becomes sock 1, etc. Use until too dirty and repeat the process. If you throw one in the washer you will NEVER get the moly out and off the clothes.
The bullets should appear light gray/silver and will lower chamber pressures due to less resistance. You will
have to retune your load for moly bullets! Try to clean with WD40 and a fiber brush until 500 rounds or so.
Then clean using Butch's or another more agressive cleaner. It doesn't make any sense to have a liner of moly
and restart the process after every 50 rounds or so.
